The SOA Manifesto has been hammered out by a group of SOA luminaries and leading representatives of the industry. It was announced on October 23rd, with wide spread communication and acceptance efforts to follow.

This community portal is dedicated to collecting the details and giving forum to the sweeping declaration of principles and activities on the SOA Manifesto.

A manifesto is very similar to a corporate "Motivational Poster" -- in that you have to believe in the message for it to have meaning. This applies to teamwork, pursuit of excellence, and SOA. MomentumSI believes that the understanding, embracing and further definition of SOA provides tremendous value to organizations and their implementation efforts. SOA Manifesto is a step in the right direction, as we refine the best principles and practices to enhance flexibility and agility across applications and data. However, we believe that these concepts must be extended into a much more practical form to actually enable change.
